Highest mountain of UAE-Jabal Jais, Ras Al Khaimah | ജബല്‍ ജൈസ് ഉയരങ്ങളിലേകൊരു യാത്രാ, Part-1

റാസല്‍ഖൈമ:യു.എ.ഇ.യിലെ ഏറ്റവും ഉയരമുള്ള കൊടുമുടിയായ റാസല്‍ഖൈമയിലെ ജബല്‍ ജെയ്‌സ്    ഒമാനുമായി അതിര്‍ത്തിപങ്കിടുന്ന ജബല്‍ ജെയ്‌സ് സമുദ്രനിരപ്പില്‍നിന്ന് 1934 മീറ്റര്‍ മുകളിലായാണ് സ്ഥിതിചെയ്യുന്നത്.

യു.എ.ഇ.യിലെ ശരാശരി താപനിലയില്‍നിന്ന് 10 ഡിഗ്രി കുറവാണ് സാധാരണ ജബല്‍ ജെയ്‌സില്‍ അനുഭവപ്പെടുന്നത്. അതുകൊണ്ടുതന്നെ തണുപ്പുകാലത്ത് മഞ്ഞുവീഴുന്നത് കാണാനും മഴപെയ്യുമ്പോഴും മറ്റും ജബല്‍ജെയ്‌സിലേക്ക് ധാരാളം സന്ദര്‍ശകര്‍ എത്താറുണ്ട്.

റാസൽഖൈമയിലെ ജബൽ ജെയ്‌സ് മലമുകളിൽ ലോകത്തെ  ഏറ്റവുംവലിയ സിപ്‌ ലൈന്‍  പ്രവര്തികുന്നുണ്ട്  . അവധിക്കാല ആഘോഷങ്ങൾക്ക് കൂടുതൽ മിഴിവേകാൻ ജബൽ ജൈസിൽ ഒരു വിസ്മയം കൂടി ആയിരികുയാനിത് . 2.8 Km ദൂരം ഉണ്ട് ഇതിന് .പർവതങ്ങളും സൂര്യാസ്തമയവും തണുപ്പുള്ള പുലരികളും ആസ്വദിച്ച് സ്കേറ്റിങ് ചെയ്യാനുള്ള അവസരം കു‌ടി ഒരുങ്ങുകയാണ് ഇനി ജബല്‍ ജൈസില്‍ ,ഇത് UAE ഇലെ ഏറ്റവും വലിയ സ്കെടിംഗ് റിംഗ് ആണ് .  ലോകത്തിലെ ഏറ്റവും നീളംകൂടിയ സിപ് ലൈനിന് പുറമെ സ്കേറ്റിങ് റിങ് കൂടി ആകുമ്പോള്‍ , വിനോദസഞ്ചാരികളുടെ ഇഷ്ടകേന്ദ്രമാകും ജബൽ ജെയ്‌സ് മലനിരകൾ. 

Jebel Jais is a mountain of the North-Western Hajar range in Ras Al Khaimah, United Arab Emirates and also in the Musandam Governorate of Oman. The summit has an elevation of 1,934 m (6,345 ft).The highest point of this mountain is located on the Omani side, but a secondary hill (in the same mountain) west of this peak is considered the highest point of the United Arab Emirates, at 1,892 m (6,207 ft) above sea level. Since the summit is in the Omani side, Jabal Al Mebrah at 1,527 m (0.949 mi) is the highest peak in the UAE. Jebel Jais ZipLine The world’s longest zip line opened on the mountain in February 2018. It is 2,832 m (9,291 ft) long, and users travel at speeds of up to 150 km/h (93 mph),There are, or have been, plans in place to build a hotel, cable car, paragliding launch ramp, golf course and ski slope following the opening of the road. Climate The temperature of Ras Al Khaimah tends to be lower than other parts of the country. Temperatures as low as -5 degrees Celsius have been measured at the top of the mountain in winter. The temperatures at the highest elevations on the mountain tend lower than other parts of United Arab Emirates, by about ten degrees, except for spots such as the mountains of Hafeet,Yibir, Yanas and Al-Heben. Ras Al Khaimah consists of sandy deserts, coastal strips, salt flats, mangroves and mountains. All these areas have different eco-systems which makes it a fascinating place for nature lovers. Apart from cultivated plants there are three categories of flora – the salt loving vegetation of the mangroves and mountain and desert plants.The emirate is also home to a number of reptiles, camels, foxes, jerboas or wildcats as well as hundreds of bird species. After the rains of winter, the mountains of Ras Al Khaimah burst into colour with purple lilies, wild irises and white daisies. The sidr, a tree, highly appreciated for its medical use, can also be found in the wadis. Its pollen also attracts bees that produce excellent honey. Bird life in Ras Al Khaimah is as diverse as the landscape. Wadis and mountains host wheatears, partridges, warblers, falcons and even vultures. Wadi in Arabic means valley. These wadi’s often get filled with rainwater in winter and some of the wadi’s like Wadi Showka fill up during summer as well. After the rains, wadis become more fertile turning green with the local flora giving it a fantastic landscape. This then becomes the perfect spot for locals and tourists to take spectacular pictures or camp by the springs. Wadi Shawka, Wadi Albaih, Wadi Ghalilah and Wadi Sham are some of the famous Wadis in Ras Al Khaimah.
